Arthur Pendelton has spent his career calculating the odds of death. Unfortunately, nobody calculated the odds of him being declared dead by mistake.

After a catastrophic bureaucratic error erases him from existence, Arthur discovers that proving you're alive is surprisingly difficult when every government computer insists otherwise. Locked out of his home, cut off from his bank accounts, and hunted by an overzealous security officer convinced he's stolen his own identity, Arthur finds himself trapped in an absurd battle against paperwork, incompetence, and common sense.

Things only get worse when his wellness-influencer wife turns his "death" into viral content, a cynical funeral director needs him to stay officially deceased to avoid an angry mobster, and a $2 million life insurance payout gives his family every reason to keep him buried on paper.

As Arthur's world spirals into increasingly ridiculous chaos, he'll have to fight the greatest enemy of all: bureaucracy.
