Unexplored Spain

The Spain the tourists did not see in 1910: the marshes of the Guadalquivir, the sierra, the birds and the men who lived off them. Chapman spent thirty years shooting and observing in Spain and wrote the book with a naturalist's precision and a sportsman's memory. This edition adds sixty plates of Spanish painting, among them works by Genaro Pérez Villaamil, Rafael Romero Barros and José Domínguez Bécquer, alongside thirteen illustrations restored and coloured for this volume.
