Vikram and the Vampire

Sir Richard Burton's classic loose reworking of the Sanskrit fable cycle Twenty five tales of Baital follows the tale of King Vikram who promises a powerful sorcerer that he will capture a vampire spirit that hangs from a tree like a bat and can inhabit and reanimate dead bodies.
