Waiting for the Dead

After an accident while racing his horse, William Granville, the eighth Earl of Scarborough wakes up with the unwanted ability to see ghosts. With best friend and fellow soldier, Alex Blackwood missing, William must fulfill a promise: to care for Peter’s sister, Amelia. Now the reclusive earl must deal with all the ghosts that have become a part of his life and Amelia, who turns out to be older and considerably more beautiful than he thought she’d be.
Amelia Blackwood did not expect the Earl of Scarborough to actually help her, but playing on his sense of honor and his promise to her brother, she is delighted when he does just that. Of course things are not all they seem with the handsome earl even though his very presence makes her heart beat a little faster. There are reasons he hasn’t left his house in over year, plus he seems to have too many secrets. Once she begins to learn what they are she isn’t sure she believes any of it, but her heart doesn’t seem to care.
