Thane is racing against time to find a powerful magical amulet before his once-friend, Cruin, does. With the help of a new friend, Raynara, he seeks this amulet. However, Cruin had set a Curse after Thane and anyone around him, so Thane and Raynara's path is frought by danger. Every time things seem to be going their way, something new appear to trip them up. Will they get the amulet first If they do not, Cruin - already a very powerful mage - will surely kill them.
