One of their arguments went viral. Now the whole world thinks they're in love.

Ella Blake used to be a party girl, but last year she moved back home to help save Blossom Park, the historical house and gardens that have been in her family for a century and now function as an event venue. The business is struggling, and Ella isn't particularly talented at anything except having fun. But her chance to contribute appears unexpectedly when one of her silly arguments with obnoxious, stuffy Wesley Chambers goes viral along with mass speculation that the two are secretly in love.

They're not in love. Ella doesn't even like him. But the opportunity is too good to pass up.

Wesley has been the Blakes' accountant for years, and he's not the kind of man who plays games. But he owes the family more than he can ever repay, so when they ask him to play along with a ridiculous scheme to capitalize on their current notoriety, he reluctantly agrees.

He'll pretend to be in love with Ella. He'll pretend to date her and then propose. He'll pretend to plan a wedding with her so they can show off Blossom Park to the world.

But that's all it can ever be. Even if he starts to want Ella in ways he always refused to acknowledge, it's an exercise in futility. Because she will never want him back.
