Richard F. Challis was a successful business man who was the "Regional Manager for the Far East and Oceania" for the large American corporation he worked for at that time.
Mr. Challis's style is a very easily readable one as he recounts his adventures in the roughly forty different cities he visits in four continents.
This book follows on from his business autobiography; "Time and Chance".

The book starts with his visit to Moscow where some of his preconcieved ideas about this communist state are confirmed and others are modified.
