When I Was 36

This very touching book of poetry “When I Was 36” was written when the young author was trying to survive midlife and was sincerely trying to answer the questions that kept him awake at night. He was searching for deeper meaning in life by writing down his poetry while the rest of the family was asleep and the house was quiet. He puzzled over why some people lack sensitivity, caring, and observation. He reminds us to focus on what is really important in a day or in a lifetime. He reminds us to focus on each person as an individual, for “that person has value”.

Don Michael “Mike” Wilson was born February 6, 1942 in Ft. Worth, Texas. His father Don Wilson started Wilson Office Supply a year later in Wichita Falls, Texas, which became Mike’s hometown. Mike began to work in the family business after graduating from Texas Christian University in 1965. Don Wilson passed away in January 1974, leaving Mike to head the company.
