When the Storm Awakens is a science fiction/ fantasy novel set in Australia in the far future - one of environmental and social disaster and decay. It centres around 4 characters who find themselves thrust into a very different world than what they remember, navigating a land of treacherous and deadly politics culminating in war, betrayal and invasion. There is a deeper story, one that involves supernatural forces both benevolent and malevolent, leading to a mystery that begs to be revealed.
