From the time we're young we hear the words, "When you grow up and get married..." but for some of us, that scenario hasn't yet quite played out as we'd planned.


Looking around the table, at the girls happily chatted, I sat quietly amazed. If this many attractive and talented, women were single, I had to ask, "WHY?"


The conversation turned to our married family members and friends that assume these single ladies have chosen the solo path in life. In the minds of the paired-up-set, they might be thinking that these single gals had been turning men down left and right. Or, that these solo sisters, in fact, prefer single status over married. But as the girls announced to me that night: that could not be farther from the truth. 


Most, if not all of this select group of gals who sat before me, had NEVER even been the recipient of a proposal! That night, returning home, I wrote in my laptop until 2:00 am. The next day, I continued writing.
