High school senior, Meems, has many spiritual gifts. She just doesn't know it. After a frightening experience as a toddler, which still haunts her dreams, Meems closed herself off to the whispered voices and wispy shadows that surround her every day.

When Meems' grandmother-also psychic-becomes ill, she knows it is time for Meems to awaken her 'claires'-spiritual gifts that can help Meem cope with what's coming.  Two mediums with a special school help Meems to develop her gifts without fear and learn to trust herself again.
