Willow Tree Bend

1969, small town girl Faith leaves behind her family and friends, and heads to the city. She takes a job at a nightclub called the Angel, a place where the wealthy mingle with shady characters. Her heart is torn between the singer in a band playing at the nightclub, and Joe, the boy back home. A death firms Faith's resolve to help bring the Angel's criminals to justice. Meanwhile, her sister Hope falls in love with a boy about to leave for Vietnam, not realising her life is about to become dangerously entangled with Faith's.

2000, Faith's daughter Sam has made a life for herself in the little town of Golden Gully. The most exciting thing that has happened recently is a pop star she used to have a crush on moving nextdoor. But now her mother has disappeared, and her aunt Hope, a famous actor, has arrived home from New York. Hope is making a documentary about her past and the revelations from the show cause problems within Sam's family. She's beginning to think there are secrets she knows nothing about.
