Windfall

The Wind swept through, shattering universes and leaving their shards to fall where they may. Timelines have no meaning. Parallel universes have bled into those closest to them. The people remaining in the here and now are left to pick up whatever pieces they can find.

Hackers can’t work in a world without computers so they have to find other ways to apply those skills. Things were going well until Kate is kidnapped and her brother Komae is forced to enlist the help of a soldier from the only branch of military that he has learned to fear.

Military black operators have little to do since the world has shattered. Mars is focusing all his energies on keeping the few remaining people that have meaning to him safe, but he can’t find the resources he needs. The places where those items were cached aren't just empty, they are gone. Gone as if they never existed, just like the majority of humanity.

Survival by any means is the only thing this group of people have in common.
