Winter Baby

Sarah Lennox had her life arranged down to the minute--but that was before she discovered she was pregnant and that her fiancé was a jerk.

Not sure what to do next, she heads to Firefly Glen, the quiet little town that was once a haven for her. After she arrives, though, she finds upheaval in the disconcerting presence of Sheriff Parker Tremaine--a man who can almost make her forget that she's a recently ditched, slightly desperate and undeniably pregnant schoolteacher.

Her sanctuary of choice is Winter House, her great-uncle Ward's gothic stone mansion on the hill. Peace proves elusive, though, with the crotchety seventy-seven-year-old busy waging a gleeful feud against the town's winter ice festival.

Local tempers flare and matchmaking matrons circle, but Sarah soon finds herself sharing late-night chess matches, a boisterous golden retriever puppy, and a sleigh ride with Parker.

Falling for the steadfast lawman was never part of her master plan, but every snowy day in Firefly Glen makes walking away that much harder.

Between stubborn uncles, feuding town leaders, and five unruly puppies in the county jail, Firefly Glen offers everything except peace and quiet.
