Antonia and her husband, two hippie kids with two sons, met the challenge of wild rivers, long winters, animals and eeking a living from the land. About the author: Antonia lived, worked and raised her family in a back-to-the-land lifestyle in northern Wisconsin in the 1970s and 1980s. She was a gardener, cook, waitress, farmer, news reporter, bookkeeper, hippie girl, environmental and social activist, college student, wife, and most of all, mother to her two sons. There was sorrow and joy, hardship and fun. A modern day pioneer, this is her real story.
