Clifton-Brown's friendly hand-painted gouache and digital illustrations introduce a brown rabbit whose parent inexplicably hops away. As a storm brews, other animals assist the bunny; the refrain "Hope is a friend" reoccurs as the animal is supported by an owl, a deer, and a mouse.
