YOU MAY BE GOOD AT SOMETHING

"You may be good at something, we've yet to find out what it is...." Bill Bailey's Latin teacher's assessment of his pupil when he left school was not very encouraging. Fortunately Bill Bailey found a great many things he was good at: a full and varied career as a chartered mechanical engineer training with Frank Whittle's Power Jets, then moving on to work with Austin motorcars , Alvis aero engines and Massey Ferguson farm machinery. Outside of work he was a racing cyclist, mountaineer, traveller, fisherman and family man.

Told as a series of often amusing anecdotes this is a great read following a life where he was paid to do for a living what many would be happy to do as a hobby.
