Miriam Ophelia Calloway has a bad habit of falling hard and fast... in love, that is. Unfortunately for her, love doesn't adore her as much as she adores it, and when her latest relationship goes down in flames, Miriam starts to wonder if she'll ever find the love and happiness she's been looking for. Her hope is revived when she meets Aaron Peterson, a handsome young professional with a kind and generous spirit, but once again life dashes those hopes to the ground when Miriam learns that Aaron is soon to be married.
