When Crizz is assigned to a lonely orbital station above a backwater mining planet, she expects boredom, routine, and too much time to think. Instead, she finds malfunctioning systems, missing data, and a station that seems determined to keep its secrets buried. Her only ally is Sutter, a battle-hardened veteran who trusts experience over imagination — and has no patience for talk of monsters.
