Publisher Description
1. Introduction The cervico-vaginal cytologic test is a powerful tool for detecting cancerous and precancerous (neoplastic) cervical lesions. In countries where well organized population based screening programs were implemented, the incidence of invasive cervical cancers and mortality due to cervical cancer have dropped dramatically [1-3]. However, there are many countries in the world that population based screening has not yet been performed due to the relative high cost and lack of skilled technologists.
