Islam and Democracy

A few years ago, Imam Rauf wrote a book entitled: 'What's Right With Islam'. That work offers an excellent opportunity to not only critically explore Imam Rauf's perspective concerning topics such as: 9/11, Islam, shari'ah, Islamic government, constitutional principles, the Bill of Rights, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the Sufi path, but, as well, the foregoing sort of discussions will provide an opportunity to develop, hopefully, a more constructive way of engaging issues of democracy and sovereignty.
