New York City. 1980.

Seventeen-year old private school student Raymond McMurtry

is found dead in the boy's room of the Kurt Schmitt Academy

for Advanced Boys.  A few days later, his mother, Helen, is

killed by a hit-and-run driver.

Is there a connection?  When Lee discovers the truth, he risks his

own arrest to dish out some, what straight-arrow Lt. Sam Houston of
