INTRODUCTION Dietary addition of fats and oils has been the most practical method of increasing energy density of poultry diets. Supplemented fat (SFAT) as animal origin (i.e. fish oil, tallow, lard, poultry fat) are common feed ingredients for supplemental fats in layer hens and proved beneficial for productive performance, including egg production rate, feed conversion efficiency and egg weight (Scragg et al., 1987; Sell et al., 1987; Grobas et al., 1999).
