A 55-year-old man was referred to our outpatients' clinic because of an in-flight episode of generalised urticaria, rhinoconjunctivitis, hoarseness, angio-oedema of lips, eyelids and larynx and dyspnoea within half an hour after an apparently first consumption of a whisky and Macadamia nuts.
