"Hi, my name is Harlow, what would you like today?"
I blushed. My name tag was clearly visible. I felt like such a fool.

"You," he answered in a deep voice.

At first, I thought I'd misheard him so I asked if he'd had a chance to look at the menu. Something in my brain had to have short-circuited at the sight of him.
"I want you," he clarified.

I stared at him in shock. I had heard him correctly and his boldness took my breath away. I mean he was stunning yes, but the balls! Thinking about his balls made me blush so I reminded myself that I was at work and how much I hated men hitting on me at work. He hadn't touched me and yet the hungry look in his eyes made me feel like he'd spread me out on the table and feasted between my thighs. That was one helluva first impression! I had to put him in his place right? If I didn't I wouldn't be any better than the women at my old job who let Mr. Happy Hands snatch their backsides. But God what a difference a few decades and a handsome face could make.
I squared my shoulders. My parents had taught me to demand respect from men and he was not an exception. "I'm not on the menu," I squeaked.

"You should be. No, you shouldn't. You should be a special meal only for me."

I felt a not-appropriate-for work tingle in my lower region. His eyes boldly roamed my face and body and it was the most incredible sexual experience of my life. Not that I had a lot of experience; a few chaste kisses and over-the-clothes action with a few boys in the six months I'd been eighteen. I was still in my awkward and shy phase and it didn't help that my upbringing had made me a prude.
This man was way out of my league and I was out of his in a way because the man I wanted would have more decency than to talk to me like that the second he met me. He was probably the type who thought he could easily get any woman because he had looks and money. That might've been true; however, I was going to make him work for it. I lifted my chin.

If I'd had any sense I would've walked away from Jonah King and his gorgeous eyes. I was drawn to him like a moth to a flame and not only did I get burned, I almost died. Jonah King had money and secrets. Yet I couldn't get away from him. I was made for him and even the danger beating at our door was not enough to make me run away.
