Sarah and Jed's marriage is in jeopardy. Their wedding had been hastily arranged–but afterward they'd lost their unborn baby, and with it the reason for their marriage. Yet Sarah knows she's deeply in love with her husband….

Emma Richmond was born during the war in north Kent when, she says, 'farms were the norm and motorways non-existent. My childhood was one of warmth and adventure.
