Combat-hardened Marine Jamie Colter is home in Glacier Creek pushing his limits to return to his unit after a mortar attack left him wounded. Following her recent divorce, Rachel McCafferty heads to her hometown of Glacier Creek, Montana, to house sit for her parents, help out a neighbor’s son and reboot her life. She’s shocked to realize the “patient” is her younger brother’s best friend. He’s most definitely not the skinny teen she remembered. She’s amazed by Jamie’s brash confidence, sense of fun and good looks, and when he makes it clear he’s hers for the taking, she finds herself rethinking all her rules about younger guys.
