AVAILABLE DIGITALLY FOR THE FIRST TIME
Late-night radio DJ Cilla O'Roarke loves the night. She also knows how to take care of herself - and never lets down her guard. But when a caller to the station leaves a series of increasingly sinister threats, Cilla is forced to accept police protection - despite huge misgivings.
It doesn't help that Detective Boyd Fletcher has been assigned her full-time bodyguard. Okay, so he's handsome and capable, but he's also absolutely infuriating - and determined to watch over Cilla every second of the day and night. And all the while, a killer waits in the darkness...
Look out for the other standalone titles in the Night Tales series: Night Shadow, Nightshade, Night Smoke and Night Shield - all now available as Ebooks for the first time.

So, so
I’ve heard great things about Nora Roberts, and with this book I decided to give her a chance.
I was never really pulled in by this story - or rather I was put off. I was put off by the fact that the cop who was suppose to protect Cilla against a stalker, seemed almost “aggressively” pursuing her. With other books I probably wouldn’t have minded it, but it seemed kind of off when she was being stalked, and clearly was in distress the most of the time... it made me think of his behavior as a bit “stalkerish” as well.
Maybe if the relationship would have been more gradual I would have rooted for them more.
Another problem was the pacing. Not enough clues, and suspense, to keep you interested. Instead it was a lot of the cop pursuing Cilla and her saying no (though she is attracted to him, I should point out, as to not make him sound like a complete stalker).
Maybe others will enjoy this book, and enjoy the chase of the cop and the radio host, but it didn’t really do a lot for me.
