Welcome to the Red Bone Ranch, where you will be introduced to its owners, seventeen-year-old Hailee and her father, Bruce Johnson. Within the pages of the Valley trilogy, you will experience the joys and pitfalls of ranch life and even accompany the characters as they begin hunting on horseback in a deep canyon, searching for a mountain lion before it steals all their livestock and ruins the ranch.

You will also learn to adore Tobias Logan – and despise Howard J. Duffman, both hired help, but working toward two very different goals on the Red Bone.
