Off putting
I only made it a couple of chapters in. The writing was not bad. But the cops constant appraisal of the victims body made me uncomfortable. Fair enough that he found her attractive. But in one breath he describes her tattered, bleeding, crying, and the next he describes his preferred body type and that she has a nice ass (he literally does this as he is taking her statement).
