APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
In this installment of Mélanie Watt’s delightful Scaredy Squirrel series, the timid rodent reveals his step-by-step plan for creating a backyard beach shielded from menaces like “mobs of lobsters,” pirates, and falling coconuts. Young children will love following the story with read-aloud narration. Older children and parents will enjoy Scaredy’s Woody Allen–like anxiety and the book's positive message: It’s good to go out on a limb sometimes.
