Smooth talking conman and SAS wannabe, 'Mad' Mike Ince, promotes himself as an SAS soldier who broke the rules and wrote books of his adventures. The books sell well and Ince has become the Regiment's most famous soldier and hero. And despite their best efforts, the SAS brass and The Ministry of Defence have failed to expose and stop him. He further infuriates them by writing another book purporting to blow the whistle and expose the hard truth about what goes on inside the finest Special Forces regiment in the world. Now he's living in Bangkok, surrounded by other SAS fakes, enjoying the life of a successful novelist, writing SAS fiction and making out like a Chinese bandit. But the truth is Mike Ince is a spineless wimp who has never heard a shot fired in anger. And it's James Fallon, SAS hard man who takes on the task of discrediting and exposing Ince and finally taking him down.
