The Owl Carver

A remote Scottish fishing village in the depths of a highland winter is not where Cal Hannah wants to be. Only the death of his twin brother can bring him back to Fasker, the place where he grew up. And only an unidentified body, found as he retraces a climb from his youth, can make him stay.

As Cal finds himself drawn into an investigation, he realises that the village of his childhood has changed. Newcomers exhibit strange behaviour as they look for their own escape from the world, while the people he knows bring up painful memories he has tried to forget.

Haunted by his past, Cal begins to unearth secrets the villagers would rather stay buried. And as the truth about the body on the mountain comes to light, it becomes clear that man's best friend might be the only one he can trust. This time, Fasker won't let Cal leave without a fight.
