The Widow and the Wolf

Lady Montrose was widowed in the Charleston quake of 1886 and has worn mourning ever since. When she finally brings her young son back to her husband's estate in England six years later, she is warned about her neighbor, a widower with a reputation as a rake. Although she does her utmost to avoid the man, when he suffers injuries on her property while saving her son's life, she feels duty-bound to nurse him back to health. Unfortunately, the more she devotes herself to his care, the more his stirring presence awakens emotions she thought were lost forever.
