When engineer Mara isn’t dealing with office politics at her job with the Environmental Protection Agency, she’s binge-watching The Bachelor and eating Chinese food. The last person she’d want to spend time with is Liam, an uptight, emotionally distant lawyer who works for an unscrupulous oil company—but unfortunately, he’s her roommate. Ali Hazelwood gives her two leads so much charm, you can’t help but root for them to get along. Mara’s internal monologues are funny and relatable, and Liam is a sexy, well-rounded love interest.
