Mr. Darcy has barely spoken to Elizabeth Bennet since their unexpected encounter in the gardens of Meryton's assembly hall. Forces thrust them together again at Netherfield Park a few weeks later when Elizabeth arrives to care for her ill sister. As Jane recuperates, Elizabeth finds herself unable to sleep one night and wanders into the empty library... or so she thinks.
