What does it take to join The Wizardry Commission, the highest magical governing body?
Years of training at an approved magical school, for starters. And even then, only those with an exceptional grasp of wielding magic and a certain keenness for detecting its nuances are admitted.
So why does Raynor Kain believe he can join their illustrious ranks?
He didn’t go to an approved magical school. He doesn’t show an above-average grasp of wielding magic. And he bumbles his way through detecting it. No discernable finesse whatsoever.
Yet, he will score higher on his entrance exam than anyone else.
Did he cheat?
Or is he really that gifted?
