One of the pioneers of science fiction, Philip K. Dick is known for his prescient work that continues to influence the genre and its many writers even today. 


And 'The Crystal Crypt' probably stands as one of his best works: in this short story, set in an unspecified future, Dick paints a stark picture of a humanity doomed to war and fighting, a humanity that even after achieving space flight and leaving earth, does not let go of its aggression.
