Most tea witches are healers, but that's not what Lian wants.

Tea witch and healer, Lian Ju Feng, has always been a woman of duty and order. Everything has its rules, and everything has its place. It's what makes life simple, even when she has to relocate to a new country and leave her home behind.

Pepper might be a tea witch, but there's nothing she loves more in life than baking and testing the boundaries of what makes a good pastry. 

When the two women meet, they clash immediately over breakfast and their principles. It doesn't help that Pepper challenges everything Lian thought was true about herself... but maybe that's exactly what she needs.
