Up in Smoke

A jilted romance author with a case of writer’s block, Mia Dunn is hoping to turn her summer around after a broken engagement.

When an apartment fire traps Mia in her home, her brother’s best friend, Cooper Givens, is the one to save her. After a video of his heroic rescue goes viral, Cooper and Mia are thrust into an unexpected media spotlight as thousands of comments swirl about their relationship status.

They come up with a plan to use the attention for good: they’ll pretend to be a couple to help Cooper get his dream job as the Oak Valley fire chief.

As Mia and Cooper work together and keep up their charade, their pretend relationship starts to feel very real.

Will the spark between them catch fire? Or is their friendship about to go up in smoke?
