Burglaries, bunnies, and a boy crush--what's a junior crafter to do?

Ever since Kennedy Contreras moved to Prospector's Rest, North Carolina for his coveted crafting scholarship, there's been almost more mystery than crafts. Between his sister's boyfriend going missing and several high school clubs' funds disappearing, he and his sister, Lainey, have been spending as much time following clues as they have turning out cute crafts. Still, with his friends in the Sheriff's Department, everything seems to have worked out okay so far.

But if earning his junior detective badge wasn't what he'd been expecting, Kennedy is even less ready to have fallen in love with his best friend, Barry. In fact, he's so besotted that he's even agreed to take in two fluffy bunnies to keep his sorta boyfriend happy.

As if knitting bobble hats for rabbits and worrying over what his family will say when they discover his feelings isn't enough, now money's been found missing from Barry's grandmother's restaurant. As "Aunt Mary," as everyone in town calls her, is better liked than pretty much anyone else in this small mountain town which makes its living entirely off of crafts, that's going to cause a serious fuss.
