Purports the theory that all causes of extremism stem from two main contributing factors - the desire for purity or the desire for revenge. Various conflicts are categorized into the general categories of purity-based extremism: racial, religious and political as well as an examination of conflict scenarios that revolve around revenge and cyclic retribution.
