Florence (Firenze) is Tuscany’s capital and was once Italy’s capital. The city is known for its importance during the Renaissance between the 14th and 17th centuries. Today Florence offers stunning artwork, galleries, manicured gardens, winding streets and delightful waterfront shops. Pisa is best known for the world famous Leaning Tower of Pisa but it offers much more. In addition to its magnificent buildings and ancient monuments, Pisa provides some of the most beautiful views in all of Tuscany and is just a short drive away from the scenic hill towns and villages of Tuscany including Siena and Lucca.
