Having passed “ordinary high school girl” Shion Hagoromo’s almost impossible test, Hiroto is finally ready to relax and enjoy his school trip—but he’s suddenly interrupted when Shinji sends an urgent request calling him back to the Academy! Hiroto arrives to find the top third-year Eimei players staring down the barrel of defeat in their own game, the Refrain, thanks to a mastermind working behind the scenes to manipulate the other school wards into targeting them. With too many enemies to even hazard a guess as to who it might be, he’s soon confronted by a mysterious prophet who stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Kirigaya at Shinra and a ruthless competitor who hasn’t made her appearance in a Game outside of Amanezaka in a long time.
