Life as a vampire is anything but dull. I'm still trying to sink my fangs into this whole undead business. But just when I think I have a handle on my new nocturnal lifestyle, I'm hit with the next challenge—introducing my soulmate and love of my life, Dracula, to my family. As if that isn't enough, the Vampire Queen has sent one of her inquisitors to interrogate us about her mate's untimely demise. You remember him, right? The crazed lunatic who locked me in a mausoleum and tried to roast me alive? Yeah, that guy. Apparently, self-defense doesn't fly in vampire court, especially when said lunatic is the queen's secret lover.

Man, my life has become really dangerous since dying. Between dodging a vengeful vampire queen, protecting Vlad from my eccentric mother and her infamous garlic pizza, and dealing with my growing powers, I am officially exhausted. If we make it out of this without getting staked, we're definitely taking that vacation I've been dreaming about—the one with a moonlit pool and my sexy mate playing the role of a naked cabana boy.

Surviving the Vampire Queen is one thing. But my mother? She might not be so easy.
