Short Fiction

Robert E. Howard (1906–1936) was an American writer known for his contributions to the genres of fantasy, horror, and pulp fiction. He is best remembered as the creator of the character Conan the Barbarian, but his works extend far beyond that, encompassing a wide range of short stories featuring warriors, mythological creatures, and supernatural horrors. Howard's stories often feature strong, rugged heroes facing overwhelming odds, and his works are marked by vivid action, heroic themes, and dark, atmospheric settings.
