Young teacher Charlotte Harding is preparing her class at Brentwell Primary for the Christmas festival when she suddenly has to deal with a personal tragedy.

Kind-hearted Jacob Black is struggling to balance work at his aunt's tearoom while caring for his sick mother and volunteering at the local children's home.
