Descripción editorial

A bright young graduate called Benjamin Bremmer has travelled to the tropical island republic of Amanga, looking for purpose in his life. Unbeknownst to Ben his purpose is already decided - he has been adopted as a messiah by the evil local deity Imti Mentoo, represented in icons across the island as a man with a huge erection. In this book, Part 2 of the epic sonnet sequence "God The Banana", Ben starts a new relationship with a fellow traveller, the blond and seductive Charlie. In the market hill-town of Chankachanga the couple meet up with an acquaintance of Charlie’s, a laid-back surf dude named Tom who is staying at a forest ashram dedicated to the Monkey God Rakiman and presided over by the sinister Guru Bhogi. The trio continue together to the ashram where Ben discovers that the native religion with which he had been enamoured may not be so benevolent as he thought, and that a member of his own family is plotting a pernicious deal with The Guru.
