Bear Lake

Maybe Ellen had not wanted to lose all of the arm, but it did not stop her from wondering how it would have been to lose a leg instead. Falling hard while snow skiing shattered the right arm badly enough it never healed. That was about a year ago, and now she had adapted to a new way of doing things. The bartender helped her find a whole new life on Big Bear Lake and she was thankful for that.
