Publisher Description

R.S. seeks the return of her infant child, alleging that the various proceedings leading to the superior courts termination of her parental rights violated the Indian Child Welfare Act and state law in that she was deprived of her right to counsel. We hold that the superior courts judgment should be affirmed on the grounds that the evidence demonstrates beyond a reasonable doubt that the child was abandoned by its mother and that there were no jurisdictional or procedural defects in the proceedings leading to the parental rights termination.
